I would say canvas ones are better grip ..wont stretch .or shrink .cleans better ,no scuffs..no boot polish needed ..no brush ..no cracks on the uppers..
but Leather ..when damp from sweat or water ..it will stretch on your feet.and loosens ..when left to dry ..they will shrink lose its natural oils and dry hard..then once the oils has dried up they will crack and rip ....so stick with canvas ..lol

There are pros and cons to both fabrics! I like leather because it will stretch, whereas if you had canvas shoes and your feet were still growing, you would eventually just grow through the shoes. Also, leather shoes are just a tiny bit stiffer than canvas slippers, so breaking them in will ultimatley make your feet stronger. On the other side, canvas slippers are nice because they are.. I guess you could say more dainty hahaha.. and soft. You can feel the floor better while dancing, and they are almost effortless to break in to. If cost is an issue, canvas ballet shoes also tend to be cheaper than leather.

In my opinions leather is better. Leather shrinks to fit your fut better, and it has a better grip on the floor whereas canvas usually slides more. It also depends on the floor and preference but leather won't slide as much so I think it's better.

Canvas. They look alot better, and are easier to turn in. leather shoes increase your risk of injury, because they stick to the floor, so when you turn or move you risk your body turning, but your foot staying, therefore dislocating your knee cap. (i know from experience. not fun AT ALL!)

Canvas, b/c wen u piorette or TURN u turn very easier than leather!

leather for starting off with, but as you work up canvas. i prefered canvas. they have a good grip.

i think canvas is really good i love mine but i dance on a studio floor if you dance on wood floor i heard leather is better

i prefer canvas because i feel the floor better in tundus etc, turns are also easier

leather is for ammitures, canvas are for professionals!

I like leather because they kind of mold to your feet. they're both good though.
