i always loved The Labyrinth. it's a Jim Henson (the guy who made the Muppet's) film. it stars David Bowie and Jennifer Connolly, and a whole host of goblins and other mythical creatures. if he loves Oliver!, then there are several other films that he will probably like...... Bed knobs and Broomsticks, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Pete's Dragon, and even Mary Poppins - they're all big musical productions...... but if he likes the Muppet's, then go through all their movies - they've had 3 recent ones, (Muppet Xmas carol is the best), plus a load from the 80's.

Wizard of Oz was defo my fave. But also loved Oliver, Sound of Music, ET and the disney classics, The Aristocats and Bambi.
My 6 year old daughter loves all of those, but her fave is defo Oliver. She loves the songs and can often be heard saying 'Shut Up and drink yer Gin' in a fab attempt at a cockney accent. Hilarious.
What about Annie, Hook or more recently Beethoven - my children love those.
Just noticed that he is 11 - maybe those are a bit too young for him. What about Gene Wilder films, they are hilarious - especially Young Frankenstein and the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Or those Smokey and the Bandit ones were good.

When I was young, I always use to watch a lot of movies more than I actually watch television shows on the televisions. I know that's pretty sad that I am the one out of a six billion people that did not watch television when I was younger, but anyway, my favorite movie was Land Before Time because I love the little dinosaurs that wanted to find the Great Green Valley which my mom thinks is adorable. Oh my god, I cannot remember any other movies that I watched when I was little, but Land Before Time (the first one ever) was the movie loved when I was little.

A Christmas Story, Harry Potter (naturally!), Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Star Wars, any Scooby Doo movie, Inspector Gadget, School of Rock and El Dorado are all excellent choices for a young boy. My brothers (10 and 12) love them.
