Did anyone else see the sound boom in several scenes of the first two reels of "Night at the Museum?" I just don't get if it was meant to be funny, or a mistake, oversight, or what the reasoning was for it being visible on the big screen. Any ideas why?

The SAME thing happened to me, but it was while I was watching The Holiday. It soo bad though because it was during a really poignant and romantic scene and you could see the whole microphone thing! I couldnt believe it! I think it may be that they had the projection too far down.

I think there were a lot of things in that movie that were SUPPOSED to be funny...and weren't.

Not a good film at all.

They tried to import a little phony-baloney emotion into the thing with the silly sub-plot involving Teddy Roosevelt's attempt to make contact with Sacagawea, but...

If you have the Teddy Roosevelt MANNEQUIN admitting that he's just a mannequin, then the whole logic of the film goes right out the flippin' window! If the wax figures are AWARE that they're just puppets, then why is Attila the Hun trying to KILL people...?! You can't have it both ways.

I actually didn't notice it, but I don't think that the production team would let that kind of error slip. It was probably an oversight.. Well spotted.

By the way, I loved the movie. Thought it was really sweet, and funny.

I saw it just last weekend and I didn't notice that. I guess I get too involved in the story to notice stuff like that... I bet it was a mistake, though. Either way I thought it was a good movie.

I did. It was prolly due to all the reflexive glass from the "exhibits" in the movie, that they had trouble finding an angle that would work for them, so they slipped it just near the top.
