That if i went on birth control for about 2 months and come directly off of it, Thats when i would be my most fertile, and would be more than likely able to become pregnant...So, i was just wondering if anyone knows if thats possible? Please let me know if you have had any experiences like that! Thanks!

If I were you, I would definately seek a second opinion. I am currently being seen for infertility, and specifically asked my doctor if taking birth control and then coming off of it would increase my fertility. The doctor told me that while it is possible to get pregnant doing that, there is no proof to support that having helped you get pregnant. She also said that in some cases coming off the birth control can throw your cycle out of wack for a month or so.

I am no doctor, but do like to do quite a bit of research regarding my own fertility issues. I recommend reading Taking Charge of you Fertility by Toni Weschler. You will learn everything you ever wanted to know about your female body. It will also teach you how to chart your cycle using the Fertility Awareness Method. FAM involves taking your morning temp, checking cervical fluid, and cervical position. I know sounds a little weird probably if you've never heard of it before, but it really works. By checking your fluid and cervical position you will be able to tell when your body is trying to ovulate, and the temp will confirm whether or not you infact ovulated. The temp will also be an indicator if you are pregnant also if you have temps that remain high, so there would be no need to take multiple preg. tests. Also, the book will teach you how to determine if you may have a fertility problem based on your charts, which may eliminate the need for some costly and painful tests. So in short, I would recommend you read the book and begin charting that way when you go back to your doctor you can show them the charts, and will also be able to ask them questions and know what they are talking about.

The easiest way to get pregnant i have found is how I got pregnant. Me and my husband tried for about 8 months to get pregnant and it just wasn't working. I tried all the fertility stuff and all of that, still no luck. Then my grandmother said "your never going to get pregnant if that is what is constantly on your mind" That's what i was doing too. From the time i woke up until the time I went to bed i was thinking about how i wasn't pregnant and how it was never going to happen. When i would get my period i would get so upset/stressed out. So i made myself ignore the fact that i wanted to get pregnant. I love movies so i got the on-line blockbuster thing and watched movies ALL the time to take my mind off of it. Then two months later BOOM....no period. I was 2 weeks late and hadn't even noticed it until my husband said something. I took 5 pregnancy test which were all positive and started the mommy 2 be process. I am early in my second trimester and happier than ever! Good luck to you i know how upsetting it can be. Try to take my advice before going to those extreme measures and wasting your money like i did.

I do not see how birth control would help you become more fertile. I was on BC for 9 years, and here 8 months later still not pregnant. You might want to talk to a different Dr. Are you trying an ovulation kit???? That is probably the first thing to try. I do not think that BC will do you and good. Sorry. Good luck to you!

With all of the appoints related to my infertility I have never been told that, I think you need I new doctor. If your cycles are regular (less than 35 days) you should you an ovulation predictor kit and try for six more months, if you aren't pregnant by the end of a year you need to see a reproductive endocrinologist. If they are irregular you should see a reproductive endocrinologist because an OB/GYN is not going to give you the care that you need.

I have shared my experience of TTC in many forums and beleive that I should share my story. I tried OVULEX a fetility pill that is 100% natural and affordable (mind you) and it is supposed to get you preggers in 1-3 months. Well...I got pregnant the VERY 1st month I took it. It came so fast I didn't even realize I was pregnant till I missed my period, really! Very exciting story. Needless to say I now have a healthy 16 month old daughter: )

You can order on their website and they ship really fast!

I don't think so.

Most women acutally take longer to get pregnant after being on the pill because it can take a while for your body to regulate.

Charting is a good way to help with ttc.

Good Luck
