A night at the museum is a fairly good movie. Children would be amazed at the animals actually coming to life in the museum. There are some moments that might be a bit frightening but overall its a good movie. But that's my oppion. Because the child is four. I would recommend staying with "Over the Hedge", "The wild". Cartoon movies since this movie is a bit much.

"Rated PG for mild action, language and brief rude humor."

In this case its a bit much.

It really depends on how old your 4 year old really is. Start with the Wizard of Oz if the monkeys scare your kid then you'll know if A Night at the Museum will scare them. But I'd wait a year or 2. Then they could really enjoy it.

I think he would be excited. A Night At the Museum would be a perfect movie for the whole family. It is very funny.

No a movie with Ben Stiller would not be a good movie for a 4 yr old kid, he wouldn't understand the comedy and would probably learn something in appropriate for his age

i think it would be good because the animals are enough to keep a 4 year old entertained and there's enough magic and jokes for it to also be enjoyed by older people.

Parts of it will be scary, like the T-rex but others he will find hysterical, like the Easter Island head, I would take him, but warn him that it might be a little scary. I loved that movie!
