i know this is a real longshot, but.......

i partially remember a song that used to be played on the radio during the early 1980s.

the lyrics to the chorus SOUNDED like (i can only assume that i heard incorrectly ;-) ) "i'm bound to comb the duck, i wanna get up".

can't find anything remotely similar on any lyric sites. does anyone know which song i might be thinking of?

lancashiretasty!!!! just downloaded 'Passengers' by Elton John (legally, of course), and you are absolutely bang on!!!!

that's been bugging me for about 15 years! bearing in mind the hazy description i gave you, you must be some kind of mystical psychic genius! that was possibly the fastest and most impressive display of deduction i have ever encountered. genuinely, truly amazing!!!!!!

I am sure that is not the correct words but when I said them out loud they sounded so familiar so I am going to have a look through my 80's CD's now.

What about....Deny the passengers who wanna get off ..wanna get off ..They wanna get off (was it Elton?)

How about Werird Al Yankovic's "I want a new Duck"? Only 80's song with a duck I could think of...

That sounds kind of like part of the song "Jam" by Michael Jackson. Could that be it?
