I'm writing a research paper on Vietnam Vets and how they were treated when they returned from the war. Also how some of them were unable to cope with their old lives when they came home. Does anyone know of any good articles or books on the subject?

Veterans coming home from the Afghan an Iraq wars are facing some of the same issues. A dear friend of mine fought in Vietnam and I fought in Afghanistan. We both have some of the same nightmares, face the same issues and seek the same help. Talk to some of the boys coming home as well for a modern comparison to your paper.

If you are serious about this you need to find out when the Vietnam Vets are having a reunion in your area. You could also go to your local VFW Post where many are members. We are Vietnam vets here. Good luck, you will hear all kinds of stories.
