Help with High Heels?
I wear a size 8 1/2 men's shoe with a medium width. A girl at my college who has some very incriminating pictures of me has decided to teach me a lesson after a few comments I made. She wants me to get a pair of heels. I'm agreeing to do it for a few reasons. What size would I need in a pair of heels? She said at least 3 inches, but didn't mention style. Is there any style that might be less likely to have me winding up in a cast? Is my size available at a cheap store like Payless or do I have to spend big money on this stuff?

lol what kind of comments did you make to be getting this kind of punishment? well she didn't mention the style of the heels, so that's good. You probably shouldn't go for stilettos (heels that look like sticks) because yeah you would wind up in a cast. And if she said you need at least 3 inches, go for heels that have wider bases, that way you have more balance and you have less chances of twisting your ankle. As for your size, you're about a size 10 in women's, and yes they do have heels in payless that don't cost that much, probably about $20-40

If you're an 8 1/2 in men's then you're probably a 10 in women's. Style wise, just go with something that has a wider heel, if you get really thin heels you'll probably end up on your face. And your size should be available at most shoe stores, possibly even somewhere even cheaper than payless such as walmart or target.

Shoe size conversion depends on what country you are in, check out the below link. If you are in the UK, just try one size larger, mens and women's shoes are the same size, even women have to go up one size for some heels especially if they have wider feet. Also find a one inch wide heel, it will make a difference. Larger feet have an advantage in high heels, the foot is longer so the angle is not so steep, 3" heels are very easy to walk in, things start getting exciting at around 4"! lol You will have to see what the cheapest shops you have around.

I would try like a 10 1/2 in heels. But different brands will fit differently so i'd adivise you to try them on. You will be able to find them in a cheap store like payless, but they may make ur feet hurt more. If this is your first time wearing heels, which i assume it is, just be careful... it actually does take some practice to be able to walk normally in them.. and ur feet WILL be sore by a couple hours of wearing them. Good luck!

10 & 1/2 or 11....Yes, you can get them in cheap stores, but a lot of times those big sizes have huge sales.

But dude, is her putting you in heels worse than the pics? Can't you dish up dirt on her, noone's perfect, everyone's got some stuff they don't want people to know about

I think you would be about 9 or 10 in women's shoes. You can get these in Payless. Try wedges or platform shoes. here's a pic:
