On what charge were you arrested? They do have to have a reason for that, or you should have started screaming for a public defender.

The only thing that I can think of is that you didn't have enough information for the police. Maybe you have a previous criminal record?

And remember -- even if they took this guy's side for no reason, NOT ALL COPS ARE LIKE THAT. I realize nobody likes cops (neither do I), but generally they're just working schmoes like the rest of us who are just trying to do their jobs.

If you have a court date, make sure you get all the information you possibly can. Stay calm and present it to the judge in a reasonable manner. All getting mad'll get you is more jail time.

Good luck.

No matter where on planet earth you live, one truth remains: police work does NOT attract the brightest stars shining in the night sky. You may wish to file a report against the offending officers. Usually the bodies investigating such reports consist of their own cronies (NOT impartial civillians). There's no guarantee anything will come of it. Perhaps you want to bounce your ideas off a civil rights attorney first? Yes, I agree it sucks bigtime when it's not the person who is right who wins; rather, it's a well-practiced, pathological liar. Who says crime doesn't pay?

Since you were the one calling the police, I would think they would have sided more with you. Actually, there is not enough information in your question. But, it is always better to tell the truth.

Not enough information. Police generally do a good job and there is a lot of oversight of what they do. They don't just take people to jail on a whim, they don't even WANT to do that.

Well don't worry about it. Let that go. If they fired you, then they lost a good employee and someone else will gain one. If things keep up, you may want to consider moving to another city or town. Best of luck to you.

The moral to your story--Don't call the police--all they are interested in is arresting someone, go figure.
