Child labour is a persistent problem throughout the world, especially in developing countries. Child labor is especially common in rural areas where the capacity to enforce minimum age requirements for schooling and work is lacking. Children work for a variety of reasons, the most important being poverty. Though children are not well paid, they still serve as major contributors to family income in developing countries.. Schooling problems also contribute to child labor, whether it is the inaccessibility of schools or the lack of quality education.

An estimated 246 million are engaged in child labour. Of those, almost three quarters work in hazardous conditions such as working in mines, working with chemicals and pesticides in agriculture or working with dangerous machinery. The jobs can include working in factories, mining, agriculture, helping their parents, tourist guides or in sweatshops. Most of these children are forced into slavery, into prostitution and pornography, also into participating in armed conflict and illicit activities.

Editorials are also opinion pieces. You have presented the facts rather brilliantly. If you have laid out the full picture, you can now draw conclusions ending with recommendations on behalf of this nation. Reporters must remain neutral to their story. Op Ed pieces are also opinion pieces but the standard of evidence is very low. Editors write editorials and they can take whatever stance they care to. If, as editor, you believe that child slave labor is right on, then you say so while explaining why: I hate children. The fewer of them, the better. Work their little as ses off, I say. Not a good conclusion but, hey, if the publisher allows it then it is in.

Hello,

Maybe you can add that usually, if it's in underdev countries or countries in way of development, they are hired by big companies of developed countries like Nike shoes. And a few people only boycott those brands.

By the way, your paragraphs are nicely written !
