You always go by your last period. My mom knew she was due in January back in 1995 with my brother and the doctor said no that her due date was in Febuary.
She knew what she was talking about cause she had 6 kids prior to my lil brother. (My mom had 7 kids)
Well when it was time for her to have my brother they tried to stop her labor and everything but they couldn't cause it was TIME. She had him in january not febuary like the doctor said she would.
Doctors are not always right. I would go to a different doctor cause they will do you like they done my mom.
First day of last menstrual period: April 26, 2006
Estimated date of conception: Wednesday, May 10, 2006
End of 1st trimester (12 weeks): Wednesday, July 19, 2006
End of 2nd trimester (27 weeks): Wednesday, November 1, 2006
Estimated Due Date: January 31, 2007
I done the above at http://www.mybirthcare.com/calculator
Good luck and Congrats!

I think it is hard to say for sure I know my doctor is wrong but that is because I know exactly what day I got pregnant on (hubby is not home a lot ) so I allways used to write down when he was they say give or take a couple of weeks so as close as you are now I would be counting on it being soon to say the least just enjoy it you will miss some aspects of being pregnant so cherish it good luck!! They also go by the size of baby and the rate it is growing and developing so the due date is subject to change it could be any day now!

The doctor is taking into account how fast the baby is growing.
They are comparing it's length and weight to other babies at the same time frame.
Your baby may just be growing a little slowly and may need that extra week to be full term. Nothing to worry about though!

Implantation decides more than your period does. Or if you ovulated late. In the grand sheme of things, go by his measurements/guess. After all, his due date is just a medical guess. Most babies are born overdue anyways, so expect a February birth.

Only 10% of babies are born on their due date. You may have the baby on the 27th or the 10th for all we know. Prepare for your date, but be prepared to wait for the date your doctor gave you.
Congrats!

The due date is a guess.
It has nothing to do with when you will actually deliver. Babies can be early or late.
Doctors just need an idea of when you could deliver.

A pregnancy is actually ten months long. So I would say your doctor is correct. However you could go at anytime between the two dates.

just think of you your due date as sometimes between Jan 31 and Feb 8th, most babys are not on time and due date is not really that important.
I am pass mine

Maybe your doctor is going by the baby's size rather than last menstrual period date.
