Good question: and to take it a step further, I wonder how many of them actually take care of needy children - since they are so concerned about lives of children!

I'm glad you specified that only SOME of them do. The fact of the matter is, there are extremists of every type in existence. There's the communists, for liberals, and terrorists for Muslims.
That's not to say that every liberal is truly a communist (though they might have adopted some communistic opinions), and not every Muslim is a terrorist.
Anyway, to answer your question, it's simply because they're extremists. And people who do that are few and far between. How many cases of that have there been over the last fifteen years?
Between 1989 and 2004, there were 179. That number includes threats, not just the actual bombings. And yes, that's nationwide. That means there about twelve a year. Again, that includes threats. Is that really a large number?
Granted, one is too many. However, each threat, and each bombing, is usually perpetrated by ONE person, not by a group. Also, most anti-abortionists condemn taking that kind of action.

Radicals are throughout and that they generally finally end up hurting there reason greater beneficial than helping it. look into PETA throwing blood on human beings and different radical stuff, all it does is reason human beings to be disgusted with the aid of there habit and demeans there very own reason.

In any movement there are extremists, asking them why they would go to such extremes, their replies often cover
-I am answering to a higher calling
-I speak for the silent majority
-I speak for those how can not speak
In other words it's not their fault. They were driven to do it.
I figure if the voices in your head get too loud, threaten them with a Q-Tip

You're talking about the extreme ones just like there are extreme liberals out there also. Although I don't condone bombing abortion clinics, you can bet that person has killed less babies than the pro-abortionists.

Bombing an abortion clinic is a criminal and terrorist act. It has no place within the pro-life movement.

By killing 1 man or even a few "guilty" people, they feel that they are saving hundreds (or more) of innocent ones. Silly reasoning, but there is some (faulty) logic to it.

It just doesn't make sense does it. I am against abortion but I would never hurt anyone who made the decision. It's a stupid move.
