ooookay then, I'll restate this:
Why is it that on Disney Channel, when they play Parent Trap, the 1997 Lindsey Lohan Version, they cut out the scene with the ear piercing? Is it the needles, is it not wanting to set a bad example for kids watching this?
I'm asking because when I was younger this was one of my favorite movies. I was watching it with my 8 year old sister today and I was wondering why they cut out one of the most amusing scenes..

When a movie is put on TV, generally it is cut somewhat so there is time to run the commercials and station breaks. So if they had to cut a scene here and there, that would be a logical one, as some people do get rather grossed out when they witness piercing.
My doctor had me hold a mirror up to be sure he was getting the second ear symmetrical with the first, and when I saw the needle going into my ear, I fainted! (I was 16, and a very stressed out and nervous 16, at that.)

Depending on how squeamish someone is that could cause them to be sick. Honestly though it may have just been to cut down the size of the movie. All movies have parts taken out of them when shown on TV because first off they need an acceptable rating and second of all they need to keep the length down.

When they show movies on tv they have to cut some scenes to save time. This was just a scene that got cut due to the time they had to show it.

A lot of times movies are just edited for content so that they can fit in a certain time slot. It might be that Disney wants to censor this scene, or they may have cut it due to time constraints.
