...a sense of humour, get upset with those who do? Also why is it when people don't agree with something that is said here, they think its okay to call people rude names? Maybe some of you are really angry, do you need to see a therapist? I'll be glad to help, I haven't got a license or anything, but I'm self taught and very good!

With friends like these who needs enemas? ;)

Actually, I think that often when people get upset by your questions and take them seriously - it only makes them (the questions) funnier. :)

(Check out my question on names and dating.. They all take me seriously! lol)

Yes, I think there are people with alot of anger and try to lash out or bring others down. It's also a trait of the inexperienced and those who aren't self-aware.
Maybe you should go and get a certificate? It sounds like you would enjoy it and why not make it your way of supporting yourself?
There's a saying that goes: "Find something you love and you'll never have to work again".
Oh, and by the way, those who are rude and nasty to others aren't going to seek help because they think they're being "strong". They don't have the self-awareness to put themselves into other's shoes.
On a different note, one person's humour is another person's tragedy. I answered a fella who was making a joke about having sex with his girlfriend whilst she was unconscious with the reality that so many people forget that the very act he was trying to joke about has happened to too many women for alot of people to find funny. It was an insensitive thing to joke about.
AND, knowing there seems to be a large amount of people with "issues" who would take the opportunity to call me on my "lack of a sense of humour" that I chose not to look and see all the "thumbs downs" and petty "lighten up, KD" remarks.
Also, sarcasm and jokes are notorious for not coming across well. For controversial jokes or humour to play well, the reader needs to understand the author and know where they are coming from in the writing of the joke. They would also need to have had similar life experiences to laugh at the same things. That is a pretty tall order on a world wide site.

I TOTALLY agree with you, I sometimes get slated for posting jokes! Even though there is a joke section on this site.

Some people are really grouchy, thank goodness we have a sense of humour and so do the majority of Y + A users.

Good for you for saying so.

I hear ya.

I've posted questions and some people stooped to attacking me personally.

I've noticed the lack of humour in here too. I've even tried to find ways to ask light-hearted humourous questions only to get called names about whether or not your should rescue a hot-dog from a campfire.

Keep posting questions and keep learning. The dogma people will self-destruct eventually.

Sense of humour tends to be individual and what some people find funny others will genuinely feel offended at. However, i don't think that gives them the right to call others rude names.
I agree that some people just seem to use this site to vent their angry feelings and insult everyone.

It's sometimes hard to distinguish between a supposed 'funny' question and a 'serious' question when you are reading them on answers. And you have to admit that some questions posted on here don't deserve any kind of answer, let alone an appropriate response. I agree that the name calling probably isn't in good taste, but that's the chance you take here.

Why do people that are mean just cover up by saying that the people they offend are too sensitive. And what makes you think that you can be rude to people as long as you're "kidding."

I know, you can ask the craziest question and people are horrified giving the most straight laced answer, you think for goodness sake I wasn't being serious.
