If you are running Windows XP, you can put a password on any "user" you have. If you only have one, there you are. I also have one called "guest," but clearly you want to take that off or create a password for it, too.

E-cade man. You don't need any software. If your running any Windows version from Windows 3.8 to 95 (the versions of Windows that don't support more then 1 user account that you can apply a password to the whole computer that any user of the computer have to type the password at Windows login) or, if your running Windows 98 to Windows Vista (theres 98 Second edition and it used to be Windows 98 to XP and those are the versions of Windows that support more then 1 user account) you can just apply a password to your account.

All of the operating systems allow you to password protect your computer.
Are you using Windows XP? Any version of Windows will let you do this. Go to the start menu, then to control panel, and click on users. You can find your own user name, and add a password.
You may have to turn on password protection altogether... but that's still available in the Users menu.

You don't have to download anything. That's the good part about what I'm about to tell you. Go to "start" on your desktop toolbar and go up to control panel and click on it. Then, go to "Security Center" once it comes up and then follow what it says! Now, you're all set to go. The bad part about it is after you add security setting people will be asking you to type in your password over and over again.
