Is this a serious Q, or just a silly attempt at a provocative implication?

I can only answer with a Q of my own. Which would you rather live with? If you would honestly prefer one over the other, then your reasons for making that choice lie in the perceived differences between the two...to you.

If you can see no difference (as your Q seems to imply) you'd have to say that you'd be hard-pressed to choose between the two groups.

Is that what you want us to believe about you?

They both believe in the idea of Purity. They both want to purify their countries, and throughout history, this has been one of mankind's most deadly concepts, having lead to many of the darkest periods in our history. Though a high aspiration of thought and belief, it is a mistake that has led to such purifications as the Inquisition, the Holocaust of Germany, the horrors of Pol Pot in Cambodia, and now the War on Terror. The mistake of this concept of Purity must be understood by mankind for what it is, and then transcended as we have with so many other mistaken ideas we have left behind. For either we are all God's Children, or our religions that teach otherwise are a lie.

Being against the death penalty always I can still see the difference between believing some people deserve the death penalty and beheading Innocent people just because they have the wrong religion and you want to scare and terrorize others by doing that.

No difference. Both have threatened the violent overthrow of this government. In November, the U.S. Christian Evangelicals reported in "Faith and Nation" that they advocate the violent overthrow of this government if their "holy" agenda and their so-called one - and - only - right - path - to - goodness is not made into legislation.
