what is the main intention of going to the US? maybe i can help better if i know.. dont worry im not from the immigration or something.. lol

you must be able to prove that you have no intention of staying in the United States more than allowed to you.. if currently you are not employed or doesnt have source of income, that wont help because they would think you have no plans of coming back.. Are you single? its also one consideration because they would normally suspect "single" applicants of not returning..

do you have a family here in the US? are you travelling alone? because if you are married and travelling alone, they would normally ask why you are not travelling with your spouse..

since its a tourist visa, its for pleasure which means you must be able to prove as well that you have the capacity to tour.. show money is very important, but in the case of my family, they never asked for that.. bankbook showing savings but make sure you've been a depositor of that bank for a long time so it would not appear that you just made a deposit for a show money.. income tax return is a very good evidence that you are earning.. billing statements.. property tax payments.. insurance.. documents that would prove your liquidity.. but money is never a guarranty..

were you able to travel to other country already? its a plus points..

if you are able to get hold of the application, reproduce it.. use as a draft since erasures are not allowed and its not easy to get another application form..

agencies would be a very big help because they are the ones who knows exactly what to do.. you just have to be careful in choosing your agent.. in our case, my mom just relied on some trusted friends.. if you really need assistance, il ask my mom if she know someone.. dont worry, i dont work for an agency either.. lol

another option is joining tour groups.. somehow you can prove that your travel is legit..

sometimes i felt that before they interview you, they already done a background check.. you just have to prove your intentions & capacity..

hollaback if there's anything else i can help you with..

Better check with the foreign affairs, or the US embassy. You can also search on their websites.
