If your body doesn't help you gain weight, then don't force yourself to.
Try drinking water. Water makes your body run more efficiently, so if it is messed up in some way (weight wise) then It'll help you gain/lose the pounds you want.

Some physicians prescribe weight gain pills. Actually an associate of mine had the same problem and she started taking the pills and now she has gained weight and she is happy. It could be anything that is causing this irregular malfunction so its best to see a doctor.

Don't worry sweetie it will all catch up to you later on. I was skinny when I was in high school. All the girls hated me because I could chow down on all the hamburgers, fries and shakes I wanted and not gain a pound. I became "pleasantly plump" when I hit 40. After that, I had to work at keeping the pounds off. And I mean work HARD at it. So enjoy being slim as a model for as long as you can.

You didn't say where you want to gain weight. There are three basic body types, and you are an ectomorph. Don't overeat fatty foods, this will give you health problems like high cholesterol and heart attacks. Be happy that you are not fat.

You probably just have crazy metabolism. Try doing anaerobic exercises and eat even more. Make sure to get proper nutrition though. Don't go binging on chocolate and ice-cream for the sake of gaining fat - even if you don't get fat you won't be doing your body any favours.

You can join the gym and get the instructor to design a program of exercises for you which will help to put weight on . I sounds daft but the gym is not only for slimming ... good luck.
