I mean they finished the film but they still don`t show it until many months later...I just don`t get it

When Harry Potter 5, The order of the Phoenix is done filming, it goes under post - production cause, what everyone else says is editing. The special effects need to be added in as well as CGI effects. As well as music and other stuff. The technology to do thses things now adays is unbelieveable!
