I wear a size 8 1/2 men's shoe with a medium width. A girl at my college who has some very incriminating pictures of me has decided to teach me a lesson after a few comments I made. She wants me to get a pair of heels. I'm agreeing to do it for a few reasons. What size would I need in a pair of heels? She said at least 3 inches, but didn't mention style. Is there any style that might be less likely to have me winding up in a cast? Is my size available at a cheap store like Payless or do I have to spend big money on this stuff?

Yes you can get them at Payless or something like that, best to go try them on, they are made different, one size 9 1/2 may fit different than another. A wide heal, one that is somewhat square would be best, unless you can find one that the heel is not seperated from the ball of the foot. I wouldn't worry about getting anything to "dainty" or comfortable. Just get something that works, unless you have to walk in them for more than an hour or so. Also, you may want to pick up some band-aids, I think you will need them (Hopefully just for the blisters on your feet)! Good Luck! Hope you don't end up in a cast!

womens are generally 2 sizes up from mens so about a 10 1/2 should work. payless has that size im sure my friend wears 11. a small heel will do and wont be too hard to manage

You'd need a size 10 1/2 in women's sizes, probably with as wide a width as you can get. Sounds like you're going to learn an interesting lesson.

Ross might have a better selection and be cheaper than Payless. Plus at Payless the sales reps are always a little too eager to help.

You probably want a 9 1/2 and a chunky heel will help you from tipping over. But practice in your room before you go into public, it looks a lot easier then it is

i have a girlfriend who can actually wear an 8 1/2 in men's. you normally wears a ten/ten and a half in womens. you might want to try a thicker heel and with an ankle strap so you don't slip off the shoe.

You would be in like a 10 1/2 in womens. i would try some heeled boots or something with a strap and thick heels so your less likely to trip or fall.
