To what extent do you think attitudes can be activated automatically from memory?

The evidence all seems to suggest we activate our attitude automatically but environmental and social factors make us act in a different way (if need be)...

i agree, social stress can make us act in a way that is totally different from our true selves. we all have moments that are what we really are and moments that we wish we could change because its just not us or we made a bad impression.
