I've tried holding the odometer down while turning the car on, but it doesn't seem to work. Any help would be appreciated.

a 06 accord should have the maint minder system with the oil life indicator...u need to use your odo button with the car running and roll it around till u can see the oil life then mash that button still with the car running and hold it till it starts flashing then let off for a second then mash and hold it again...until it says 100%...when in doubt look in the owners manual there alwasy in there

just try this it miight work disconnect the battery for about 2-3 min and if it turns back on that means there is something wrong with the ecu or your car is tring to tell u something like get me into the honda shop so the can fix it sometimes it a fuse or something minor i had the same prob with my 99 civic and took it in and it was my catilac converter and the warrenty replaced it because the epa has warrenty on most of those for 5 yrs or 75-80,000 miles

Hold it down while turning the key on, but do not start the car. Keep holding it down with the key turned on until the light goes off -- about 10 seconds.
