Spanky's is a definite yes, all the others were blah. If I were you, I would take the short drive St. Simons and eat at one of the many excellent restaurants that is located on the Island 5 miles away. Jekyll Island also has some good food, especially at the Jekyll Island Club which is about 8 miles away. It is elegant, but expensive. Visit the Island in the day and eat there at night. The Dock there has a small restaurant as well that is informal outdoors and cheap, and another that is indoor excellent and is moderately priced.
St. Simons has more excellent places than you can count ranging from moderate to very expensive and all are pretty good
Brunswick itself, however is seriously lacking good restaurants
