I have no idea about the second one you mention, but the name of the first song is "The First CUT is the Deepest." It was originally recorded by Rod Stewart in the early 1970s and Sheryl Crow just did a cover version of it in the last couple of years.

It's actually called "The First Cut Is The Deepest". Rod Stewart first recorded it in the late seventies. More recently Sheryl Crow did a version, maybe that's the one you're referring to?

Look you are ALL wrong, CAT STEVENS wrote and originally recorded "The First Cut is the Deepest". Sheryl Crow and Rod Stewart did COVER this song, however. ROD STEWART DID NOT RECORD THIS SONG FIRST! Cat Stevens recorded it (and wrote it) in 1967.

Cheryl Crow sang, "The First Cut is the Deepest". I think VW Stevenson's version in the early seventies was even better.
