Amerie is said to be Latin meaning "love".
it is also a male name.
I prefer it for a female...beautiful name!

There's Averie or Amelie...as far a s I can see there is no Amerie. Maybe it is short for Americus or America. (Yes those are legit names) I bet you can guess what country those names came from. Or possibly some one made it up to sound like Ann Marie????? Sorry, dunno for sure
