i use road runner....does that add any cost to the email address?
and also, how do i delete my aol email address!!!i need to know

No..you don't have to pay...just make sure you never enter your credit card number anywhere if they try to get you to upgrade to a paid service :)

You should not have to pay for your free AOL email account. You will want to make sure that you are not on the $10/month plan with AOL for "bring your own Internet access".
Did you get billed last month by AOL? If so then you should call them to make certain of your free status. If they say you will owe them money then tell them you want to terminate the service. They will usually offer you a free month or two of service.
Even though your email may be free, your access to the Internet is not free. Normally whoever is selling you Internet access will include an email account with that service.
There are some free Internet service providers, but you will need to include more information if you want to know if the one you are with is free. If in doubt call them.
