How can I stop this silly extra step of typing in the alpha numeric question every time I send an email?

No you cannot. If you are using the Yahoo Email, it is part of the Anti-Spam system. It is doing this because it suspects your computer is a BOT sending spam.

If you and another person are doing a lot of communications via email, this will happen. After you send a certain number of emails it will kick in to make sure you are not a Spammer BOT.
