i'm being induced this monday, and i have a bad cold. i've been on antibiotics for a uti, so i know its not any type of infection, but its a bad head/chest cold. what do they do when you deliver and you have a cold? do you have to wear a mask when with the baby? this is the last thing a newborn needs, this is bad enough for me. what do they do when you have a baby and you're sick??

Breastfeed you newborn. It will protect your newborn from getting your cold. Your body is actively building antibodies to fight off the cold and those same antibodies will pass through your milk to help protect your newborn.
