muscle cells technically do go through mitosis (defined as division of the nucleus), but do not undergo cytokinesis (division of the cytoplasm and the rest of the cell). They end up as cells with several nuclei in each.

Actually brain cells and nervure cell can divide when they have to this has been shown on several occasions. I culture brain cells and nerve tissues in the lab both normal and cancerous. I would say that a more correct answer would be cell that have under gone senesce which is a form of cellular old age.
