Lisa posted a really great answer to this one. I think this question would depend on your budget, to which you gave us no clue. I'd like a Larsen/Spirocore combination too - but it costs a bomb and I can't afford it. I'm using Jargar strings at the moment - have been since I was 13. they offer a good balance between cost and sound, though the lower strings can be a bit slow to respond. Larsen strings are some of the best in the business. The Spirocore strings are probably the most expensive of the bunch, but many cellists use them on the C (and G sometimes) because they give a great sound and they are very responsive to handling.

That's a good joke. I used to know a girl who worked in the sheet music dept of a music store. I would always ring up and try to disguise my voice, then say "Have you got Air On The G String?" (It's a piece by JS Bach) It always got a laugh, from me mostly.

If she's broken three g strings, she's either got a rather Lardy a r s e , or is a bit of a player.

I say, if someone didn't read it right the first time and didn't read the fine print on the bottom, they'd think you were talking about a thong. BOOTY FLOSS! You can aslo get that on ebay.
