To the town of Banff, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada, about a 45 minute drive from my house.
There are many things to do and see: Hoodoos, Gondola, Hot Springs Pool, Banff Springs Hotel, Bow Falls, Cave & Basin, and just a fun experience in downtown Banff.
Dining would be at the Grizzly House where you can have exotic fondues and imported Cuban cigars.
I don't think there is anything in Banff that would be a waste of time.

Well, since there isn't much to do in our city, I wouldn't waste any time here. We'd be better off driving 45 minutes to the capital of my state and going malls and museums up there. I'd take them out to eat at Olive Garden or this other restaurant called California Dreaming. :)

To the river to eat and watch the boats come and go on the river. Take a ride on a tour boat. St. Clair river in Port Huron (MI)

honestly if person is a close friend coming or meeting after long time
sightseeing would be waste of time
would take him to lil cool not that loud pub and speak till wee hours of the day
other wise if u really wanna show around hmmm take him to places which arent there in his city
i mean if its beach or hills or even desert or sking anything that he doesnt do in his city.

I WOULD TAKE THEM TO OUR DOWNTOWN AREA , GHETTO AND OUR FIRE STATIONS WE WOULD EAT ONE FIREHOUSE MEAL AND DINNER AT THE MACARONI GRILLE I WOULDN'T WAST MY TIME AT THE LOCAL PARKS

it depends where u live....u can go to the movies...show them the most interesting part of your city...go to eat at your favorite restaurant....shopping
