Absolutely yes - and we should fly the flag and be proud to do it. We should wear red and white and have street parties!

lets be honest it's nothing to do with St.George all we want is a day off. Who was St George. Was he some sort of warrior from Turkey. If we were to celebrate and have a day off lets do it for a reason that all English people can relate to some of us don't want to celebrate some christian st. What about the winter solstice instead of Christmas. What about a day off for all the poor victims off war i.e. The soldiers that are sent to defend your country. What exactly did St. George do for me.

In which country?
In England, yes of course. And in The Republic of Georgia and anywhere else with his cross as a flag.

Here in Wales we'd like the day off too, or at least overtime when we choose to work it. but give us St. David's off first.

No.There are different iconic celebrities who've gave up the ghost and we in no way have had an afternoon in memory of them. Why might want to Michael Jackson be dealt with any diverse? He might want to be the 'King of father' yet that doesn't recommend we ought to attend to him like a king.

Yes. Every country needs to keep its traditions. Let new comers join in, or not. But you can bet they will take the bank holiday while protesting or being totally apathetic!
