I am working on a novel now and I am wondering how to go about getting it published come time to do so. Thanks.

Assuming you have no publishing background, you will need to find a literary agent who will shop your manuscript around among publishing companies. Used to be in the publishing business (I was a magazine editor) and that is the only way I know to get a book published where you end up getting paid for it.

The alternative is for you to locate a private printer who you pay to print up your book. You then sell your book at shows, flea markets and other possible locations. As you can imagine, not many people can earn back their investment, particularly with a novel.

Other than possible Web publishing (of which I know little), getting a literary agent is the best way to get your book published. It may take time but keep trying... and keep writing!
