Why? Because a man is not about to possibly hurt your feelings in some way. Not if they have even the slightest forethought of it. If he cares so much about how you will take it, then he's very likely to shy away from anything and almost everything.

Interestingly enough, I got my husband to blab all about stuff to me but this was BEFORE we were dating even. And to be honest with you, I still have a small sad tinge of dislike for some of the things he told me. And when the relationship turned to marriage, he became rather guarded about what he said to me regarding any past relationships. It's because of the way I react, I already know this.

Why don't women? It has nothing to do with gender, but with the person. Also with the listener. Is it safe for him to tell you? Are you the sort that might get jealous of others in his past? Will you be hurt by any of it and then use it against him for the rest of your relationship?

If he feels he really can trust you with his deepest, darkest secrets, he'll tell you. If he can't, he won't.

because they are really ashamed of what they did, and don't want u to know, as if u really knew u probroly would not want to even know them, so they avoid talking about it, hide it and will do anything so u don't find it out. as the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. and if u can't find out, than it is safe to assume u will just marry him, but it's really always good to find out the past, bur somethimes there really is no way of knowing , and do u think u would get the honest truth from him? think some men, not necessarily yours, are deceivers, and u see only the parts of them they want u to see, that is until u are married to them, and it is too late to do much about it. if they won't talk about their past, i would be kind of worried.

A man with real balls moves on and never looks back. Once it is over, it is over and done with. They simply move on and not play games like we like to do. This is a wonderful thing that shows a lot of self-respect and esteem.

The past is over, why talk about it. And it was before you so it really isn't any of your business.

Because they don't feel it is relevant to the relationship they are in...and it's not. Just because you want to air YOUR dirty laundry doesn't mean everyone else does.
