my dvd writer is not reading any dvds, can I use a laser cleaner on it or do I need to buy a new dvd writer?

yes, you can use a cleaner
if it does not work though, you may need to purchase a new drive.

You need to get a DVD laser lens cleaner...it has a little brush on the bottom...but if it don't then you might have to get a new burner..

you can use a cleaner but just buy a new dvd >rw - & +
you can get one from walmart for $40

Normal CD cleaning disc is fine.
