The Umpiring Standards have fallen to an absolute new low and I doubt the ICC's intentions of having neutral umpires??? Ok I accept if out of 10 poor decisions 6 go against 1 team and 4 against the other but in this series almost nothing went India's way and thats absolutely shocking. Starting from Ashwell Prince being given not out of Sreesanth's bowling in the 2nd innings at Joburg in the 1st Test to Jacques Kallis not being given out of Zaheer's bowling on the last day of the 3rd Test the umpiring has been absolutely APPALING.Even any South African reading this knows how much the umpires helped them. Just take a look at Durban where both times Dravid got given out wrongly and then even the last decision to end the match of Sreesanth was wrong. JUST IMAGINE HOW MUCH IMPACT DRAVID WUD HAVE HAD AND I DARESAY INDIA WUD HAVE EASILY SAVED THAT MATCH.Now in this third test 1st innings Dinesh Kartik on 60odd was wrongly given out and Munaf Patel out of the 7th ball. How fair is all this???

I agree the umpiring was pretty substandard, but even then if you play well enough then you can still get around it. Hell, if I wanted I could complain that poor umpiring cost Australia the Ashes in 2005, but if we were good enough the poor umpiring wouldnt have affected us.

You guys should be grateful Asoka de Silva from Sri Lanka was not umpiring the match, as he has got to be the worst umpire I have seen. The fact he still stands in matches is a disgrace!!

I agree that outside say the top 5 umpires, the standards are beginning to drop. The up and coming umpires are not being developed, and a stricter review process needs to be put in place by the ICC after each series.

You are right, Umpires did make mistakes in this series and it was noticed.I am sure the umpires are sorry too and they regrett the mistake, but the umpires deceission is final and that should be taken in good sporting spirit. Why cant you accept the fact that the S/A team is currently in a better form than the Indian team, and may the best team win.

I am also very sorry, but at the same time I would like to ask what for third umpire is there if he can not ensure fair play,i.e. he should interfere where ever he can see with the help of electrical equipments that the decision of the field empire is wrong he should get it amended.Otherwise there is no need to appoint third umpire.
this SHOULD BE COMPULSORY FOR THE THIRD UMPIRE TO RATIFY THE DECISION OF THE FIELD UMPIRE SO AS TO REDUCE THE RISK OF WRONG DECISION,BY TAKING THE HELP OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENTS(IN ORDER TO ELIMINATE HUMAN ERROR).

in case you spot what became happening previous to those try sequence, T-20 became freely being performed and it became an overdose of T-20, which culminated with the ICC W.C. triumph for West Indies. without warning all the communities have began enjoying exams, so from T-20 overdose to all the worldwide places enjoying try sequence, yet another drastic replace has taken place. Now to degree try cricket's well being on those grounds, is complicated & figures are inflated for helpful. human beings comprehend that an ODI will take approximately 8-9 hours of their time, perhaps 10 on the main. T-20 takes no greater beneficial than 4-5 hours, with crack cricket being performed thoroughly, in those 40 overs of each game. hence they have their very own following, that's staring on the upward push. exams are a cricketer's extraordinary exams, the place they seem to verify their high quality, not the quantity, that's engaged in ODI's & T-20. exams separate adult adult males from boys. So high quality against the quantity, skill that exams have constrained no. of followers, who relish the sport in toto. Its complicated yet exams are actually not dying yet lagging in the back of the two T-20 & ODI's as a results of their constrained nature. So actual cricketers & its actual followers might help shop exams alive, consistently.. No, T-20 are not killing exams yet they are infecting young toddlers with on the spot cricket, which they are going to have confidence is actual cricket interior the destiny, which may well be unhappy..
