So why don't we end "it"? Since people are so ignorant and believe in everything "it" tells them..

I would actually have to agree. You should watch Columbine...it definitely shows how the mass media manipulates us into mass consumerisms.

Media is part of free speech.Free speech is essential in any Democratic form of government.
Can media as all free speech be used to express stupidity and ignorance? Yes but that's no reason to end it

We are the media. The media didn't create itself. Isn't Yahoo! part of the media? We're contributing to it right now by using their website. How can you 'end' the media? Where are we going to get our information from? Who's going to inform us of the new laws and rights?

That's your opinion. The worst enemy we have is ignorance. And that ignorance is perpetrated by far right-wing extemists who are bigoted and who believe everything their leaders tell them. They prefer to let those leaders do their thinking for them since they never had an intelligent thought in their lives.
