It's possible you're not producing enough of the pregnancy hormone to register on a home test. Ask your doctor for a quantitative beta hCG blood test, that will tell you for sure if you're pregnant or not.

I too had this same problem. I was a week late and took 3 preg test and they all said neg. I waited a couple of days and retested an it said neg again! Finally, I made an appt with my Dr and had a blood test done and it was positive! He told me the reasoning behind this is because early on in pregnancy sometimes your body will not produce enough of the pregnancy hormone to turn a preg test positive. You should retest in a few days to see what the results are ...and if you aren't sure about the outcome, call your dr and set up an appt!

I was two weeks late, tried all high priced name pregnancy test. Took 1 to 2 everyday, everyone came up neg. When to doctor did blood test, said it was "faint" wasn't sure, went back following week did another blood test. What do you know, I was 6 wks pregnant, now have 3 year old beautiful little girl.
Sometimes pregnant hormone is lower in some women than other and it takes longer to detect it until it raises

You can get a ton of false negatives in a pregnancy test. Especially with the urine tests. The blood tests are more accurate. Usually the tests start coming up positive around 6 weeks-- the urine tests anyway. Best of luck with everything!

Just because you are two weeks late doesn't necessarily mean that you are pregnant. I would advise going to the doctor and having them do a pregnancy test. And yes a blood test is more accurate than a urine test. Good Luck to you!

The blood test is more accurate, but your urine test should work if you are two weeks late. Is there any chance you just think you're pregnant?

Your body may not be producing enough HCG yet for the home test to show up positive. Your ob/gyn will do a more accurate blood test.
