What makes them like that?

It is not uncommon for controlling personality types to have been raised in homes where little controls exists - total chaos. Many times these people are older or the oldest of children and had to become the 2nd or 3rd parent. By controlling everything they can (and grasping to control some things they cannot or should not), they hope to find the predictability and security that every child needs for a balanced development.

It's a tough, common problem. Offering these personalities praise for their ability to 'multi-task' and 'lead' as well as showing respect for their 'burden' goes a long way to helping them to let go and trust people.

Best wishes!

they themselves are out of control, it's total abuse! they are afraid of letting things out of control so they take control, it means they are weak.
