Well, Bush Sr.'s representative did tell Saddam that we were OK with him invading Kuwait, so I'm sure there was a strategy in both giving the OK for the invasion and the fight against it. Of course, like Afghanistan and Iraq, the public is not worthy of the real explainations, just the "greatest country in the world" and "promoting freedom" rhetoric that makes our political arguements dumb and moot, if you can't discuss the fact the public has been deemed unworthy of the real reasons for such things in America, something both "approved" presidential candidates agreed upon by Obama and McCain's sugared, nationalistic rhetoric. Neither even mentioned the SPP, Trilateral Commission, Afghan transport plans for the Caspian Basin, or Iraqi Oil. We're just fighting terrorism now. Fighting communism had gotten old.

When i was there they told me it was to liberate Iraq.Kuwait was just a major city of focus for Saddam's main military forces.
