Still give it to her .Just explain to her that when you told her about it that you have already brought it.The next time ask her what are one of the 6 gifts she will like for her birthday put the name in a bag and let her chose one don't let her know what it's just buy it for her.Good luck.keep smiling.

She is nuts. Many friends don't by IPODS lately to other friends. Next time know her really good and ask her what she likes without letting her know that you will buy it for her as a gift or christmas. Geez your friend is ungreatfull, get rid of her.

Give it to her. She may say things like that because she's trying to convince herself not to buy one. I do that all the time. She'll love that you thought of her when shopping.
