Why not call and talk to the mom who is throwing the party and ask her questions about the movie? I would hope she has seen it before.

Get over it! It is only PG-13. I've been watching rated R movies since 9 or something. Get over it, besides your daughter probably already knows about stuff it shows. Kids aren't oblivious to whats going on in the world today. I'm 15 now.

I personally think it is not appropriate because children get the wrong idea and they will get many things in their imagination, not only that, they will want to start to do things at an early age. lol the movie is PG13 so it means that the child does not have the mentality to differ what is right and what is wrong, even though she is 11 years old. I think she should stick with PG movies, there are plenty of movies out there for them to enjoy!

Let your friend decide for her own daughter. If she is worried about it, then go by the rating.. PG-13 Her daughter is 11 so she should not see the movie.
"PG-13 Parents Strongly Cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. This signifies that the film rated may be inappropriate for pre-teens. Parents should be especially careful about letting their younger children attend. Rough or persistent violence is absent; sexually-oriented nudity is generally absent; some scenes of drug use may be seen; one use of the harsher sexually derived words may be heard."

I understand your problem.Afriend of my daughters brought ARocky Horror dvd to watch for my daughters sleepover. It was rated m and as a parent Iwas not happy. One of the girls said that she was not allowed to watch m rated movies. She left anyway because she had to beelsewhere. Some kids will watch these movies anyway. We discussed this. The other girl had seen it and my daughters friends are fairly sophisticated. My daughter did not want to watch it as it had similar scenes but the others wanted toseeit .I suggest that your daughter bring along another video to watch and discuss it withthe parents.Your daughter is only 11 and you have the right to say what sort films are appropiate for her to watch.PGmeans parental supervision. You need to find out if its the parents or the girl that has chosen the film? Good luck

Make sure a parent or guardian is in the room with them if you are feeling uncomfortable with this. Chances are, being 11, she has probably seen or heard about everything that will happen in the movie.
Discuss the movie with her when she comes home to clear up any questions she may of had.

Your friend needs to watch the movie first and decide if she wants her daughter to be around it. If she still wants her daughter to go, but not see the movie, she can ask the other parent to call her after the movie is finished, and then her daughter can come spend the night.

I would advise her, if she were my friend and she was seeking my opinion, to not let her go unless they pick a different movie, this has sexual content and deals with lesbianism, I wouldn't think an 11 year old should be dealing with that issue just yet. That should come a bit later.

yes 11 is a little young to be watching pg-13. 11yr olds shouldnt be exposed to that kind of stuff. but If the mom still lets her watch it (which I think is bad parenting) just hope the mom stays in the room with the girls
