well the easiest way is obviously to buy an electric tuner but if u dont have one or cant buy one then go here:
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/search.php?s=tuning&w=lessons
its ultimateguitar.com you get lessons and tabs to play your fav songs
and remember, practice, practice, practice, practice.
the site gives the exact info that the guy above me is giving, but in more detail.

If you have a piano, use that- the same notes on the piano should match the guitar. If not, a guitar shop, you can buy a "tuner" where you play the note on the guitar and it tells you where in tune your notes are. Or, you can have the clerk at a guitar store tune it for you.

if u have a starting note 2 tune an ur low E string to, the rest is easy. play the note on the 5th fret of every string and it should match tjhe note on the next string. When u r tuning the B string, play the note on the 4th fret on the G string.

Babe, if you have an electric use an electronic tuner. plug it into the jack and tune it to the green. Same with an acoustic, put it close to the hole.
