this means that there are little critters attacking your goldfish. little tiny paracites. you can go anywhere... but i recommend a pet store and get some medicine that you can actually put through the filter and goes into the water to kill the parasites annd heal the fish. this happened to me last year. some pet stores things are expensive so even wal-mart and big chains like that will have medicine of that nature.

No your water is toxic get them out! Change 100%. Keep temp and Ph the same. If you have holy rock, its that real pretty rock they sell in the petstores with holes in it, sometimes its marbled orange and white, REMOVE IT. That is volcanic rock and IT WILL LEAK TOXINS. Driftwood can too so can any sand stone. If you have fake plants or colored rocks those can also leach toxins.
Use either pea gravel, natural river rocks that are hard and round, or if you want color use glass rocks or marbles. I leave my tank bottem almost bare with hard black river rock and glass beads and marbles. That way they can move the subtrate around to get at uneaten food, and it doesn't get hung up to rot.
You should adhere to a strict water changing schedule
25% a week
!00% twice a year.
Clean out filter once a month and replace media. Wash biomedia in tank water not tap.
Try medicated food like Medi Gold (www.goldfishconnection.com)
If you don't have these things in your tank (volcanic rock, sandstone, driftwood) then it could possibly be your water supply. You might have to start buying Reverse Osmosis water, then buff it up with Nuetral Regulator and RO Right (Kent Marine Products). Its impotant that you use the buffers in RO water because it lacks any minerals (its just H2O). If you don't buff it up the Ph will crash. Those minerals help stabilize the Ph.

you have asked an exceedingly exciting question, and that i'm sorry which you have been subjected to all of those infantile and ignorant replies. first of all, in case you have offered 2 Feeder Goldfish from WalMart, they are in all probability Comets, Koi, or Shubunkin Goldfish. this implies that they elect a 70 gallon tank a minimum of for the the two considered one of them. it is because of the fact, regardless of in the event that they are small appropriate now, they grow to be a minimum of a foot long, and it incredibly is how they have been given their call, "pond Goldfish." My 2 Fancy Goldfish I even have in a 30 gallon tank consistently are relationship, the adult males are incredibly crammed with "fish testosterone", hence the adult males are consistently chasing the girls around, attempting to spawn. shop a watch on your fish, it incredibly is thoroughly standard. as long as fish B isn't harming fish A too lots, as much as a factor the place fish A is getting injured, your fish are in all probability going to be nice. you will see whilst fish A runs out of steam so which you will possibly talk, and it incredibly is once you will might desire to cut up them. Your fish are actually not likely to die quickly, because of the fact they are actually not giving out the marvelous indications. in the event that they have been approximately to die, your fish may well be torpid, putting out the two sideways, the different way up, or up at as quickly as, at the two the right or backside of the tank, not often respiratory, and not shifting. Goldfish are very playful fish, i don't think of there is something incorrect with your fish. be certain you have the marvelous tank standards, and your fish would be completely nice! good success!

Hell no those fish may be possessed. You really need to get them checked out before they turn on you.

The water may be polluted with bacteria. you may want to change water, and/or add some salt water in it.
