I'm reading this book and it's abt a girl needing a heart transplant. And she gets a donor match and gets her new heart.And theres basically two sides to the story abt the girl and abt the donor's brother. Then, they meet eachother and so on and so forth. But i would like to know if anyone would really donate there organs after there death. I know it's a freaky question but would you rather die knowing that you're living in someone else?

when you are an organ donor, after you die, most of the time your organs get sold. They do not get donated to dying ppl that need them, doctors take your organs and your tissue (which is not supposed to be messed with) and sell it for research. If I knew my organs would actually be donated, I would do it, but I know they use them to get rich, so no, I would not select to be an organ donor.

I would definatly donate my organs when I die. I'm going to die at some point. Why should someone else have to die sooner then they could if I could help them? I think that it would be the best present that you could give someone. Their life for a bit longer.

I have already given my consent to be an organ donor. Although, maybe by the time I am through with this body, there might not be any useful parts left! ha ha

I want to be cremated when I die - I've never really given much of a thought for organ donation...

I'm a Doner.
But after I die, after my organs are harvested, I wanna be cremated... Then have my ashes put in cool places that I like.
Besides, I'm not gonna need when I die, I'm dead!!
But, I just read kellyrh804's response... I totally agree with her.
I don't wanna be somebody's money maker.

I'd only give my organs to my daughter if necessary...I don't know if I want my parts in someone else. She's already a miniature version of me so it wouldn't be too creepy.

If they are in a reasonably good condition (the organs, I mean) ... sure, I won't be needing then where I'm going.
