try putting brown paper over the stain and heating up the area with a hairdrier (hold it quite close) but be careful not to hold it in 1 place for to long as it will burn. Oh! and congrats by the way xx

You can get stain devils which remove oily stains, but I'm not sure this would work if the stain is as old as Oct 06, plus it might blotch the fabric around the stain. However you could try to remove the stain, and if it does discolour the rest of the material, you could try to dye the shoes. As to buying a good pair of shoes, it really depends what colour/material you need. If your blessing is in the UK, you might be best of trying one of the large department stores bridal departments (Fenwick, House of Fraser, Debenhams)

It depends what the shoes are made of. Some shoes could be fixed by getting a paper towel and put it over the mark and then iron the shoe. Otherwise a good shoe shop. I got great shoes for my wedding in Barretts

I'm thinking if it's grease..not oil then wipe the whole shoe with olive oil...if it is black oil...then you need to get new shoes, but try the things suggested if the shoes are not wearable at all, you have nothing to lose.
Oh! Congratulations and have a great day!

try buying a solvent for oil stains - from a good hardware store or sometimes beside the washing powders in supermarket. Also the brown paper trick does work - blotting paper works better although I've only used that with a hot iron.
GOod luck.

Have you tried a bit of washing up liquid, or a clear olive oil to get rid of the dark oil.
