He has them in albums and on the computer. Some are of our next door neighbor that he had a fling with for a couple of months 2 years ago before I came along.

No you shouldn't. Everyone has a past, and it's just that, his past.

Pictures left in an album from the past is not so bad if it's put up on a high shelf and left alone. However, keeping any on the computer or in sight is extremely rude to you. I was married to a man who had three children with a woman years before. We were together 24 years and he never saw any of them during those years. He did have a small snapshot of her with the children. After he died I was cleaning out his wallet and there was half the snapshot...torn down the middle....the kids' picture was gone but he'd carried HER picture all those years. It didn't exactly leave a warm fuzzy feeling with me. There's no good reason for someone to do something that will hurt the feelings of the current wife. It's very rude and disrespectful.

Of course he should!

Why would he have any need or desire to hold onto them?
I don't think any married man should spend a lot of time
"reminiscing" about ex-girlfriends. It's just not a good idea.

Just tell him you're really not comfortable with it--adn when it comes down to it, if he loves you, he'll realize that you are more important than a few pictures of old girlfriends. And if he doesn't--then maybe you need to be having a different sort of discussion.

He has sooo got to get shot of them now he has a wife. Discuss it with him, don't be confrontational about it just ask him if he will because it doesn't seem right and it's hurtful. After all if he wants to he can remember what she looked like. Tell him you understand it must feel strange to get rid but it's for the best.

of course not, unless he is always looking at them, everyone has had a life before us, and girlfriends, why obsess over dumb things that don't matter at all. why let him see that u are so insecure. if he respects u in all other ways and is a good husband than forget about this, just shouldn't be a big issue if u trust him.

Everyone is different and I can only speak for myself but I would say "yes" on this one.

Marriage is based on love and respect, I see no reason why your husband needs to hang on to pictures of old girlfriends (especially if they bother you).

Talk to him, explain your feelings and ask him to get rid of the pictures. Hopefully if he loves and respects you, he will understand. Maybe he doesn't know how you feel - tell him.

Good luck.

Out of respect for you he should put them away. It is not fair that you should have to look at his past staring you in the face daily. Ask him how he would feel about pictures of you exes all over the place. When we marry we should put away those things and let the past stay past. How can you truly move into the future in your relationship with the past staring at you everyday.

well, i can tell YOU want the pictures gone, but at the same time, that's your husband's past and he probably just wants to remember it; not in a way that he prefer's the past to the present, but just to make sure he doesn't forget...kind of like a visual diary i guess. so i wouldn't worry about it. if he got down on one knee for you, he loves you, and that's that. plus, if you're worried about those pictures, that means you're probably a little worried everytime the neighbor visits, or calls, or what-not. RELAX. because in case you didn't realize: he traded her in for a better model; you. ^^

I think he should definately put them away. If he is still looking at them, then yes he is being very disrespectful. Give him something to think about by asking how he would feel if you were drooling over your old boyfriends. If he says it would not bother him, then get busy drooling.

No he shouldnt because out of respect for him you should understand that its alright for him to want and have keepsakes of past memories. You cant get jealous of someone that was before you its just not cool.
