Hey, for the last few weeks, I've been hitting the beer and booze pretty hard and only eating maybe once a day if that! My buddy tells me, doing that will damage my liver and cause unhealthy weight loss. Is he right?

My grandfather did this for two straight weeks after he retired. He stopped when he stopped breathing. He skin was so yellow from the liver disease that he could not have an open casket. I know it is not a pleasant answer, but it is the truth. His death certificate actually states alcohol induced liver failure.

You bet, over the years your liver can have scoliosis from drinking too much. I know U R eating late at night cause U don't want to loose your buzz. Yes you will loose weight but I have been only eating 1 meal a day for at least 10 years. I use 2 hit the beerl like Ur doin after awhile that gets old too. Get your head out of the bottle & don't waste your life. Hope this helps ya.

Wow! Who has time for a life style like that??? Long term alcohol use has the potential for liver damage. Not eating has its own consequences. I'm surprised you don't mention diarrhea. With all that liquid in and no solid I would think that would be an issue. Get back to eating and drinking something healthier or you could be in bigger trouble down the road.

Yes. Drinking excessively will damage your liver since it has to convert all of that alcohol to hangover chemicals and make you feel bad.

Not eating enough will cause your liver to process too much fat and damage it. Look up fatty liver.
