you experience the needle slightly, each so often the guy drawing your blood has a puzzling time time looking a competent vein so have your mom are available with you and if the phlebitis's is inflicting you any soreness your mom can yell at him/her. you incredibly have not something to fret approximately however, only turn your head and don't look.

It is not as scary as you think it is. just take deep breaths and don't look while the blood is being taken doctors run in to this situation all the time just admit that you are scared and they will help you feel more relaxed and it will be over before you know it. Just be honest about your fears I'm positive that they will be sympathetic especially with someone as young as you are

Hi I' Noah, I'm also 13 I know you may be afraid but I think your mom is just trying to make sure you don't get sick. Last year when I was twelve I had to get an operation (a small one), I was scared but I had to do it because otherwise I could have been seriously injured.
Also, every Friday I have get a shot for my allergies and it's not that bad. So try to get through it.

It's o.k. to be scared. The one thing you needs to remember is that your Mom is not trying to hurt or upset you--a blood test
can show many things, and if you have been sick or not feeling well this may help. Just tell the person taking your blood that you are scared he/she will explain and hopefully provide some distraction while getting the sample!

You have no choice. You are 13 years old. You have to be 18 to make your own decisions. Ask the doctors to use a butterfly needle since it's smaller and less painful

I first time I had blood drawn I fainted and I woke up in a hospital bed.Very embarrassing! I was 15 yrs.old.Well,I learned to look away and just stretch my arm out.If you don't see them doing the procedure, the quicker it's done. It's called fear of fear, you get so worked up thinking about how bad it's going to be that you most probably will freak out.

Hey, blood tests are nothing. You won't feel a thing, and the best part of a blood test?.........You don't have to study. It just sounds scary, I get them all the time. And it's for your own good. (Don't you hate when people say that it's for your own good?) You know what you can do to be sure it won't hurt. When the nurse comes to get your blood, you grab her/him by the hair, then say:"We're not going to hurt each other now, are we?" Works every time. (Just kidding, really, you have nothing to fear. If it hurts then you can come and beat me up, Okee Dokee?)

i haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate needles, when i was little, my mom had to hold me down while the nurse stuck me. you no how i got over it?
i had to. i went to the hospital, and they took a bunch of blood tests and i needed an iv. you start getting used to needles when you have one stuck in you for 14 hours. but they just kept talking to me and im like, when are you going to take it, and they where like, we already did! i still hate needles and i stay away from them whenever i can, but some you just can't ignore.
