Where have you been the last 20 years??? You have missed sooo much. Their website is in the middle of being redesigned but worth a look. They are now back to their best as Mike Lindup has returned to the fold. Their new album 'Retroglide' is ace, they are as good as ever. Mark King's bass playing rocks!! Tunes to listen out for - 'Star Child', 'Love Games' these are earlier tunes & show them at their best. The live or 12" version of 'Something about you' is brilliant as it contains the chant. They are best seen live.
Just shows what little you know Shaky (see below) as they are an 80's band not a 70's band.

I love Level 42....they have all but disappeared in the last 10 years or so but the "Running In The Family" album is absolutely brilliant.
Mark King really is a king of the bass guitar. The bass line to Lessons In Love is awesome.
I wish they were still as popular as they were in the 80s

I'm a fan and went to see them 'Live' several times. The venues were always packed to the rafters.
I believe they have a new album (not long out).
By the way check out my favourite track 'Hot Water' it's wicked (especially the 'live' version).
There is more to Level 42 than meets the eye.

Lessons in Love Running in the Family Something about you. Always enjoyed their flying act at their concerts. Went to see them at Guildford a few years ago and the only original member was Mark King. Still good though. Went to school with Mike Lindup.

Oh yep indeedee, been a big fan for years. Just got their "Definitive Collection" album for Christmas, which I can highly recommend. I've tried to get the live DVD but HMV seem to be out of it all the time, so annoying. please don't suggest down loading as I still don't trust the Internet with my banking details ...maybe I'm old fashioned, but there you go!
